Advent Calendar

This year I wanted to do a little something different for an Advent Calendar for my youngest son, he loves getting little toys and candy so I thought some cute little boxes would be perfect.

I used my Silhouette to die cut the boxes using the Lawn Fawn Peace Love Joy 6x6 paper pad and die cut the numbers adding one to each box.

I wrapped most of the boxes in twine and added some stars and tree die cuts to the larger boxes.

I got the tins from the Dollar Spot at Target - so glad that store has opened here in Canada!

This project was featured on I'm Impressed Blog today which is a local stamp and craft store.  Please stop by and leave a comment for a chance to win an awesome prize during her Handmade for the Holidays Event.

Thanks for stopping by.

Tag your it!

Mt second project for the Colors of Christmas release party was a collection of Christmas Tags.  Can't wait to see these all wrapped up on presents!

For the top three I used a standard shipping tag and covered them with patterned paper.

Then I added the cute die cuts, stickers and gems to them.

I love the little critters in this collection - so cute.

For the bottom three tags I used the die cut pad as the base for the tags.

Then I stamped the ornament onto patterned paper and again on white cardstock.  I typed the recipients name on the white cardstock cut out just the centre potion and glued it to the one I had stamped on the patterned paper.

I love how it personalizes my gift tags.

For this tag I also added some cute small white pom poms to the snowflakes.

Santa

Santa Rocks!

I love the Santa we have at our mall, he is so great with the kids and takes time to talk to them and make each and every one of them feel special.

For this layout I used the Simple Stories December Documented collection from Scrapbook Nerd.

I love all the designs and colors, especially the chalkboard elements.

I can't wait to see Santa again this year!

Thanks for stopping by.

It's a Colors of Christmas Release Party

This week on the Imaginisce Blog we are having a release party for the awesome Colors of Christmas collection.  Today it's my turn on the blog and one of the projects I am sharing a fun Ornament I made using an old American Crafts ribbon spool for the base.

For the first ornament I used the circle die cut shape to cover the front and back of the ribbon spool then added some red twine to the spool.

Then I added the cute sticker and a wooden spool to the top of the ribbon spool to add some stability and finished it off with the "Holiday Cheer" sentiment.

For the second ornament I covered the sides of the spool with patterned paper.

I used the cute owl sticker for the centre of the spool. Isn't he so cute!

I finished this one off with the "Let it Snow" die cut.

I am so happy with how these ornaments turned out and will look so cute on our tree.

Have a wonderful day - thanks for stopping by!

Fall Fun

Fall is so beautiful, I love the changing leaves and gorgeous colors. I wanted to incorporate some of those colors and fall fun in some cards.

Fall1

For the first card I made a confetti pouch filled with sequins and attached it to the front of my card.

Fall1CU1
To finish of the card I added an arrow paperclip and some Epiphany Crafts Button Studio buttons in the large and small size.

Fall1CU2

For my second card I used a journaling card with a fun sentiment and attached it to the centre of my card.

Fall2

I added an apple shaped clip and some Epiphany Crafts Button Studio buttons to this layout using the apple images I found on the patterned paper.

This card would be a great card for teachers too.

I hope you are enjoying a beautiful fall where you are.  Thanks for stopping by.

Pinterest Inspired Holidays

I saw this picture on Pinterest and thought they would make a beautiful snowflake inspired project.  I love how snowy and dreamy they look all hung together.

Here is the link to the project http://www.pinterest.com/pin/205969382931738784/ .

I gathered my embroidery hoops and doilies and used the super cute Crate Paper Bundled Up collection.  These days my projects are never complete without some coordinating Epiphany Crafts charms and Epoxies.

I will be hanging these in my hallway once my Christmas Decorations go up.

The little boy and girl in this collection are so cute!

I can't wait to see these all hung up - I plan on finding some smaller hoops and making more so there is a good bunch of them hanging in the hallway.

Thanks for stopping by.

Fall Leaves

I love falling leaves and all the beautiful colors of fall.

I saw a patchwork leaf on Pinterest and fell in love with how it looked so I tried to recreate it on this layout.

I used my silhouette to cut out the leaf shapes from cardstock.

Then I covered them with cut up scraps off all the different papers in this collection.

To finish it off I embroidered the stems with brown thread.  I really love how they turned out.

Happy Fall :)

Scrapbook Nerd 12 days of Christmas

We are having a fun 12 days of Christmas event over at Scrapbook Nerd - join us for 12 days of Christmas Inspiration.

For my first project I created this cute countdown calendar for my desk at work.  I used the Simple Stories December Documented journaling cards to make this super quick and easy.

The journaling cards come with the numbers all ready on them so all I did was create a quick base and added some stickers and embellishments to the pages.

I can't wait to use it.

Thanks for stopping by.

A few more for Linden's Portfolio/Scrapbook

Here are a few more finished pages for Linden's Portfolio/Scrapbook.  First up his All Boyz Hip Hop class called Gangnam Gang.

They did the Gangnam Style dance and had a blast.

He also did a Hip Hop class called Get Krazy.

This one was a tough one to scrapbook with the colors and the zebra pattern but I used my Silhouette to make the zebra background and managed to dins some bright paper and washi tape in my stash.

I love how his book is coming together.  Thanks for stopping by.
