PL/365 share

I am behind which I knew would happen in February but I am not stressing about it will just do what I can, I really love seeing our daily life!  As I said February was a crazy month.  The Olympics, birthdays, two trips and more.

I had to find a suit for my son's Musical Theatre competition so we took a trip to a mall that was amazing, had an elevator in a water fall (we saw the backside of water) and every store we needed.

Getting a haircut, celebrating good marks and my kitty.

Isn't she adorable :)

A trip to Whistler for some skiing and snow boarding.

I used a full pocket page and kept some memorabilia in between the two pages.

This week we spent most of the time getting ready for a birthday party.

First signs of spring yay.

Valentine's Day.

Love these wood cards.

Celebrating some birthday's, my son had a Lego Movie Party and my Mom baked me my favorite cake.

I love that Linden designed his own cake using Lego pieces.

Cat In the Hat

Today starts the Scrapbook Nerd Online Crop with a Dr. Seuss twist.  For my challenge "Cat in the Hat" I used photos of my son's musical theatre and made another layout for his Scrapbook Portfolio.

This was his first year in Musical Theatre and they won major awards, the costumes were amazing and they were so cute.

For the portfolio I have been trying to keep it consistent with a larger 12x12 layout on one side with the professional photos, then a pocket page layout on the other side with the more casual rehearsal photos.

For my challenge you have to use red and white on your layout (like the Cat in the Hat's hat).

I really hope you will stop over and join in the fun!

Dance/Musical Theatre

This year Linden is in Company Competitive Hip Hop and Musical Theatre, he was so excited to be asked and has worked really hard.  I couldn't be prouder!  I knew I would need to be really organized since I work and getting him to all the competitions was going to be crazy.  I was going to make a simple organizer but decided why not make it a little pretty :)

I used the Plus One collection from Amy Tangerine, I love the black foam script words!

I used a Cover-All and created an album that has all the dance information in one spot and made it so it will fit in my dance bag.

I printed off some 4x6 calendars to fit into the page protectors and used the thin washi and enamel dots to mark the dates.

I am not quite finished getting all the information in it but I know it's going to be a big help.

Tea at the Empress

I was so lucky to be able to go to Victoria for the weekend and go to High Tea with my Mom, Mother-in-Law and Sister-in-Law.  It was amazing and we had so much fun.

I used the beautiful Maggie Holmes collection, I really love the fabric frames and gold accents.

One of my new favorites is the black foam script font Thickers I used here.

I am so glad we got the chance to go.

Scrapbook Nerd March Project #1

This month I got to play with some fabulous Maggie Holmes papers and embellishments.  For my first layout I wanted to do a layout about me.  I rarely am in the photos as I am the one taking them so on my birthday I took a selfie and scrapbooked it.

I layered the beautiful ombre paper along the bottom of the layout then created a fun background with punched hearts.

I layered ephemera under the photo and added some fun gold glitter letters.

For the journaling I used several of the heart shapes and wrote little tidbits of me right now.

Do you find it hard to scrapbook yourself?  I do but I am so glad I did.  I love the photo and the layout.

A Day In the Life

Last year I decided to take part in Ali Edwards a Day in the Life project and took photos throughout the day of our usual routine.

I used the Amy Tangerine Plus One collection and created a fun little mini.

I used the Epiphany Crafts Button Studio Round 25 tool to create a perfectly coordinating button to tie the mini album closed.

Then I added small photos (about 1.5" square) throughout the album.

Its filled with what a typical day looks like here.  Up at 7:30 and as soon as Buttons hears the alarm she comes for a cuddle.  Making lunches for everyone and a typical breakfast for me - tea to go and a scone.

Dropping the youngest at school (my oldest walks to the high school), heading to work, having a Coke with lunch, picking the kid up from school.

A quick trip to the grocery store then once I am home a quick check through back packs for homework and notices, then a little me time.

Getting dinner ready then doing homework.

Once the kids are in bed I watch some TV and finish off the day with some scrappy time.

I know I will love looking through this book once the kids are older and things are different.

More PL/365 pages

Sharing more of my PL/365 pages.  It's been a busy month so I have had a hard time keeping up with it but hope to catch up soon.

Physio with Linden for his wrist. He fell and sprained the ligaments and one of the small bones popped out of place.  Watched some rugby and shopping at Target with my Mom.

Learning to play bass guitar, After 3 practice, my always messy desk and my usual after work messy ponytail.

Valentine's Cards

Just a quick share of some cards I forgot to share that I created for Valentines Day using the Crate Paper Love Notes collection.

I made two cards and ended up giving the first one to my hubby.  I love the flair that came with this collection - so cute!

The second card is a more generic love card and I will keep it for our anniversary.

I added some pretty sequins and a chipboard tag.
