I am heading to California today for CHA. It is my first time going and I am so excited I still think I am dreaming. Can't wait to see all the cool new stuff coming out IRL. I am going to try and post some pictures while I am gone but if I am having too much fun then they'll have to wait :)

Dear Santa 2010
My son Linden was in a theatrical production over Christmas and I wanted a place to keep some photos and the ticket stubs and the program etc. My son wanted an autograph book to get everyone's autograph on the last night so I combined the two into one mini album.
I used my Bind-It-All to make the album and I used Echo Park paper and stickers for the cover and most of the inside pages.
Inside there are some pockets and envelopes and some plain cardstock pages for the autographs.
Linden had 2 parts - Foshizzel the Elf and Michael. Here he is dressed up like and elf :)
The play was called Dear Santa and it ran for 2 weeks. It was a lot of work and I was really proud of Linden. He loved getting everyone to sign it at the "Cast Party"
Thanks for stopping by :)

Top 10 of 2010
I usually record my 10 favorite songs from every year so I can look back and remember what songs were popular or songs that only I loved. This year instead of a layout I did a little mini album.
I used some Riff Raff chipboard tape cassettes and sprayed them with Glimmmer Mist. For the inside pages I used Imaginisce paper and wrote the song name on each page. To hold it together I used one of my Bind-It-All Owires and squished it together with my finger.

365 - Week 3
I can't believe 3 weeks have flown by! Here's week #3 in pictures.
January 15th - Most Saturdays find us here at the soccer field - we call it Soccer Saturdays :). Today Rhys' team won which is always a good day.
January 16th - Buttons is the best cat - she loves to walk with us outside, play tag with the boys (she always wins) and play hide and seek with me and my camera. She always finds me LOL.
January 17th - Mike found the boys old Game Boy Advance from 2002 (that's 10 years ago :0) and even though the games were really cheesy Linden still played it.
January 18th - The moon was so cool on my way home from work it looked like the sun. I guess the crazies might be coming out tonight :)
January 19th - Wednesday is Piano day. Linden is sitting with his piano teacher Jen listening to her play his choice for his competition piece "Africa" by Toto. He picked it becasue it was my Dad's favorite song and he know I always say hi to my Dad (who has passed away) every time I hear it. Guess I'll be saying hi lots in the next few months :)
January 20th - Our school (Port Guichon) won the Ladner boys pinguard tournament. They were so excited and it was a blast to watch them take home gold :)
January 21st - I bought a new purse a few nights ago and wanted to add some flowers to it so I spent today playing with flowers which I don't do a lot and it was fun :)
Well 3 weeks down 49 more to go!

Bind-It-All Wintertime Mini Album
For my January design team project over at Zutter I made this cool mini album using Echo Park's Wintertime collection and some old Maya Road Acrylic snowflakes.
To make the snowflake on the cover look icy I rubbed white Stazon around the edges of the snowflake.
For the inside pages I used the journaling notes on the left side and a photo of my boys playing in the snow on the right side.
Head on over to the Zutter Zisters site to see all the other amazing design team creations!

365 - Week 2
January 8th - me and my friend Jeannine at Diane and Diana's birthday bash. Just have to say I love this girl so glad we became friends :)
January 9th - Taking our Christmas tree to the chipper.
January 10th - Building LEGO with Linden.
January 11th - Rhys and Buttons always seem to be in the same space - she loves to cuddle with him :)
January 12th - Snow - this is the view from the front of my new job. We got locked outside and had to spend the morning looking at this view watching the Eagles and Snow Geese fly over us :)
January 13th - What a difference a day makes - snow melted and we didn't even get to play in it :(
January 14th - Went for sushi tonight at Oki Doki. Linden is getting really good at using his chopsticks.
I can't believe I made it through week 2! Thanks for stopping by!

365 - Week 1
I decided to try the 365 project this year. Basically it's taking a picture every day for the whole year. Last year I made it a few weeks in but this year I hope to make it further. Here's my first week photos...
January 1st - this was taken just after midnight celebrating the new year with friends.
January 2nd - I am going to keep my scrap desk clean, I am going to keep my scrap desk clean, I am going to keep my scrap desk clean... I am hoping that saying it enough will make it so LOL. This is the cleanest it's been in a long time.
January 3rd - Taking all the Christmas decorations done makes my house feel so bare.
January 4th - I want to take time to reconnect with my kids and it's as simple as making Dip N' Dots with Linden - these are the vanilla flavor - pretty yummy!
January 5th - My whole family is very plugged in, computers, video games, cell phones I don't know how we lived without them. It's nice to see Rhys and Linden together it doesn't happen very often.
January 6th - I almost forgot to take a picture today the clock said 11:59 so I snapped a picture of where I usually am at midnight in front of the computer working on a project.
January 7th - My son Linden's Birthday is coming up and we were taking some pictures for his invitation. He always makes me smile :)
One week down - 51 to go!

Zutter 11 for '11 Blog Hop
I am so excited to be a part of Zutter's 11 for '11 Blog Hop. The blog hop will run January 5th to January 12th at 5pm! Just for stopping by Zutter is giving everyone 11% off everything that isn't all ready on sale at their store, Binditall.com . Just enter CODE: Zutter11 Valid through January 31 only.
January is always a time to look ahead and start the new year with a fresh optimism and outlook. I have followed Ali Edwards "ONE WORD" for the last few years and thought I would use it as a starting point for a journal for 2011. My word for this year is "LIVE" and in 2011 I really want to live my life to the fullest and part of that is knowing exactly what I want in my life now and in the future.
To make this mini album I started with a 6" x 6" Flat Spine Cover-All and covered it with Sticky Back Canvas by Claudine Hellmuth Studio. I then printed out one of my favorite photos of my family on the Sticky Back Canvas and adhered it to a piece of Cosmo Cricket paper just a bit smaller than my cover.
For the title I cut out some letters and glued them to the Sticky Back Canvas. Cosmo Cricket had a journaling strip that was perfect for this album. "Live for the moments you can't put into words". I then glued it onto the front of the album.
For the inside pages I went through my stash and found as many pages as I could of either lined paper or calendar paper and cut them to 6" x 6" and bound them with my Bind-It-All machine using 1" Antique Brass Owires.
On the first page I gave the definition for "LIVE" and how I hope to make that happen in 2011.
Zutter is giving away a prize of a Zutter supply pack of "Owire, covers, Cover-Alls and surprises" on each stop so please head over to the Zutter Zisters blogs below and check out their awesome projects!
