Planning Fun

I wanted to share how I set up my daily sheets in my Carpe Diem to prepare for the month ahead. I try and get them done at least a week or two before the end of the month and sometimes when I have time I will do 2 or three months ahead. I am keeping it pretty simple just using the washi tape to separate the days. I add in the usual work and extracurricular kids stuff first.

Then I fill in the birthdays and any other important events and highlight those with stickers.

I keep the post it note holder bookmark from Simple Stories on the day I am working on and then if I need to make a quick note I have one right there.

Then I add in the insert for my Project 365 and pick a coloured number that works with the pattern on the paper. I clip that in with one of the magnet clips. You can see I have all ready added 2 photos that I printed out.

Project 365 - Planner Style

I am using the Carpe Diem A5 planner from Simple Stories to do my Project 365. I finally got around to finishing January up and so far I love it. On the last page of the month inserts there is a blank lined page so I numbered it 1 - 31 for the days of the month then briefly wrote a description of the photo I took that day.

I added a Simple Stories insert by adding washi tape and re-punching the holes then added photos from the month using the number stickers that come with the planner collection on the photos.

So far I am in love with this. The planner part has everything we do from day to day then the insert will have photos highlighting the month. The Planner world and the Scrapbooking world all in one - BAM!

Splash Mountain

We had so much fun at Disneyland - I couldn't wait to scrap some photos when I got back but then I had one of those weeks. You know the one where nothing and I mean nothing goes right lol. My son came home with a bug and passed it on to me so I was really sick and then I wanted to film the layout I was making for my YouTube Channel and nothing was working, my computer wouldn't recognize the recorded files from my Iphone any more and I could not get any computer to do it, it was working fine until this week. So I ended up giving up and decided to re record the whole video with another layout. So here is the layout that got filmed but didn't make it to YouTube lol.

Splash Mountain is one of my son's favorite rides and we usually ride it a lot - I love that they try and make poses now when they know the photos is going to be taken. This trip we went with some friends which was really fun too!

I really hope to get more photos of Disneyland scrapped than I usually do!

Love this kid

I used up my left over Hello Love collection from Crate Paper to make this layout about my oldest son. He helped my husband at Gottacon last year and it was so fun to watch him.

I added some fun watercolor and ink splatters to complete the layout. I am so proud of this kid.

Happy Valentine's Day

Here is a fun little project I made for my sweetie. I used the Crate Paper wood veneer frames to make a fun shaker wall hanging for him.

I also used the sequins and journaling tag from the Crate Paper Hello Love collection.

It was so easy to turn these into a shaker to see how I did watch the video below.

Layered Tags

I love making layered tags, they are so fun to make and can be used for lots of different projects like a scrapbook layout or a card.

I used the Crate Paper Hello Love collection and layered die cuts and the cute gold hearts to make these.

Valentine's Treat Box and Bags

I love making pretty packages and for Valentine's Day I made some treat bags and boxes for teachers and coaches. For the treat box I recycled an old ribbon box and turned into this yummy treat box.

I added the frame and the decoration from the Crate Paper Hello Love collection.

Filled the box with treats and it was all done.

I also made some cute bags using the same decorations. These are so fast and easy to make.

I just hope I don't eat all the treats before Valentine's Day.

Fringe Hearts

I loved the Maggie Holmes fringe hearts in her new Bloom collection, they are so cute and I can't wait to get them.

For Linden's Valentines I decided to try and recreate them to use up my stash of Valentine's day paper.

I cut out the hearts from several different patterned papers, fringed them with my scissors then pieced them together. They don't look as good as hers but I know the girls will love them.
