Love is in the Air

It's that time again - to think about celebrating all the things you love on Valentine's Day.  This year I made some tags for my sweeties using the new Yours Truly collection from Echo Park.

The first tag I punched a bunch of hearts and added them to the circles on the patterned paper.  Add a pretty ribbon and a sentiment and you have a cute tag.

For the second tag I misted some paper and trim with glimmer mist, added a sticker heart and sentiment and some buttons and twine.  I love how this tag turned out.

Show your sweeties some love this Valentine's Day - thanks for stopping by and showing me some love too :)

Sweetie Pie

When I have time I love to do the "Create" blog challenges on Thursday with Paige Evans.  Her cards are always so beautiful and she has some pretty cool challenges.  This week the challenge was to use squares on a card.  My first idea to do a heart from squares didn't work so I did some surfing and saw a pinwheel pattern.  I loved the way it turned out - here is the backround before I added my sentiment...

And here is the finished card.  I just added a Crate Paper journaling card and some twine.

The card is a little thicker than a normal card with the added dimensional background so keep that in mind if you plan to mail it.

Crate Paper Love

I am in love with Crate Paper right now.  I ordered a bunch of it from Two Peas In A Bucket as my LSS doesn't carry it and I had so much fun playing with it.

I created a few layouts and they are some of my all time favorites.  I especially love this one of my cousins little girl.

I hand cut some flowers for the border and added some buttons.

I cut these scallops from the SKU part of the paper - love that!

Isn't she adorable :).  Thanks for stopping by!

Sugar and Spice...

and everything nice that's what little girls are made of.  Sunshine and rainbows and ribbons for hair bows, that's what little girls are made of. Tea parties, laces and baby doll faces, that's what little girls are made of.

I love the words in this poem but having two boys I don't get to scrap girls very often.  Luckily I have friends and family that have girls and don't mind me borrowing photos to scrap with.

I loved the blue jean look of this paper from the Crate Paper Random Collection and the flower paper was perfect for cutting out and turning into a cute border complete with buttons of course.

It's so fun to be able to make girl layouts every once in a while.  Thanks for stopping by :)

Snowflake fun and my first video

I decided to try my hand at making some tutorial videos this year and after finishing this layout I thought this would be a great way to start off so I hope you enjoy it.

I made this layout using the Crate Paper Peppermint collection which I loved and wanted to use up my scraps so I thought I would try and make some snowflakes for my layout.  I made them using a scallop circle puch and I love how they turned out.

Here is the video on how I made the snowflakes.  I would love to hear what you think of the video!

Handsome

I fell in love with this little guy when we visited Prince George last year.  This paper collection from Amy Tangerine was perfect for these fall photos.

I was so inspired by Kelly Purkey's layout with leaves across the bottom of her photo that I did the sam thing here but covered the entire layout.  I handcut the leaves from paper, punched a small hole in the top then threaded them onto twine.  I love how it turned out.

Winter Fun

With January come thoughts of Skiing and Snowboarding and hopefully some snow.  We haven't had any yet so far.  Here's a layout of my son Linden Skiing at Cypress Mountain from last year.

I love the scallop paper from this Echo Park line, I cut them out and layered them.

I also loved the ski ticket paper how cool!

I am keeping my fingers crossed for snow in January :).  Thanks for stopping by.

A few last Christmas Cards

I always find I am rushing around a few days before Christmas making extra cards for family and friends and this year was no exception.  I know Christmas is over and everyone is moving on to CHA news (I can't wait to see some sneak peeks) but I wanted to share them here on my blog.

The first three were made with the Crate Paper Peppermint Collection and the last one was made with the Echo Park Paper Holly Jolly Christmas Collection.

Santa Came :)

I find Christmas is one of the hardest thing to scrap but I really wanted to do a layout about our "special Santa" that comes to our house just before Christmas with a special delivery for the boys.

I am so grateful to Santa (you know who you are) for making Christmas even more magical!
