Teacher Appreciation

It’s almost the end of the school year and time to thank the teachers that spend all year educating and enlightening our children.

For my son’s teacher I made a collection of class supplies (Including some pencils I covered with washi tape) and used an old container and recycled it adding some of the cute ledger paper from the Childhood Memories collection and a die cut apple shape.

To create the apples I cut two apples and stitched them together to add some dimension to them.  I also added the teacher’s name to the top of the container with letter stickers.

For the Thanks card I used a smaller version of the apple die cut and used letter stickers to spell out Thanks.

Rhys and Nana

I love seeing my Mom and Son together - they have such a special relationship.

I took this photo of them on my son's graduation day.  For the layout I used the Studio Calico Darling Dear collection and a few of my wood veneer collections.

For the title area I created a little clear pocket and added some wood veneer shapes inside and added the American Craft Thickers on top.

A few drops of ink and some washi and I called it done :)

A quick card share

Today I wanted to share with you 2 quick cards made with the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection.

The first card, I found a sticker that was almost exactly the same as the picture on the patterned paper and used foam tape to pop it up.

I added a quick sticker sentiment and some of the Heidi Swapp Gold Lame Color Shine and another quick card done.

The second card I made to use up the cute chipboard umbrella and rain drops.  I knew I probably wouldn't use them on a layout but thought they would make a cute card.  I don't have many stamps but found this cute sentiment which I thought worked well.

Camp Wild & Free

For my second project with the new Outdoor Adventure collection from Imaginisce I wanted to try the Project Life style of scrapbooking with pockets.

I cut up all the journaling cards that come on a sheet of patterned paper and added the great die cuts and stickers for embellishments.

To create the marshmallows for my Smores section I cut out the shape from felt then used distress ink to make them look burnt.

I love how many photos I got on this layout and can see using this format much more in the future.

Heart Key Chain

It's that time of year when we have a ton of gifts to buy for teachers, coaches, instructors and people who have helped you out throughout the year. I have a friend who is always there to help out with my kids when I need it and I wanted to show her how much I appreciate her help.

I created a key chain with photos of her daughter from dance and musical theatre class.

I printed the photos small enough to punch out with the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Oval 25 then added each of them to an Epiphany Craft Oval Charm and using jump rings added them to a key chain.

The great thing about the Epiphany Crafts tools is that this gift could be customized for anyone in your life - in fact I have plans to make a few of these over the next few days for my son's Musical Theatre instructor and Hip Hop instructors.

Outdoor Adventure

This week Imaginisce is debuting their new collection Outdoor Adventure and I have to say I think it's my favorite line so far.  I created two projects with this collection, I will share one today and the other one on Wednesday.

With two growing boys when we go camping we have to make sure we bring lots of snacks along with us.  I use mason jars to hold the snacks so they don't go stale and when I saw the fun stickers and papers in this collection I knew they would be a great way to decorate the mason jars.

I made Take a Hike Trail Mix (the usual nuts, raisins and M&M's)

Then there is the Jump in a Lake Rods and Fish (Goldfish Crackers and pretzels)

And of course you can't go camping without Smores!

Head on over to the Imaginisce blog to see all the fun creations with their new collection!

BBQ Party

This week on the Imaginisce blog we are featuring the awesome I-top tool, my challenge was to create brads.

My son's class went to a local beach for his grad party and we had a big BBQ with all the kids and the parents.  It was so much fun.

For this layout I wanted to die cut a circle background with my Silhouette and fill all the circles with patterned paper and brads.

I cut several of the BBQ images from the patterned paper and used the I-top and Brad Daddies to create the brads, once they were set I used white paint along the borders to make them look clean.

I also cut out the "Party" part of the title from a die cut that said Pool Party and added the BBQ die cut instead.

I love the I-Top and being able to make customized brads like this is so much fun.

Hello Disney :)

This layout will be the cover page for the Disney portion of our trip to Calirornia this year.  I really loved the colors in the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection and they were perfect for my Disney photos.

I used my silhouette to cut out the chevron die cut (from Dear Lizzy as well) and backed it with several different patterned papers.

I cut out the chevron arrows from paper and added them along the top and bottom with a chipboard heart.

I really loved the chipboard and die cut elements that came with this collection and the Hello die cut was perfect for a title for my cover page.

I love scrapping these memories from Disney - it really is my happy place :)

Cards

I love making cards with my leftover paper, usually after making a layout or mini I use what's left on my desk to make some quick cards.

The first card is a quick birthday card made with some leftover Fifth and Frolic from Dear Lizzy.  I used the chipboard typewriter and with my typewriter typed the sentiment so it looked like it was coming from the typewriter.

I really love the wooden buttons so I added just a few and some twine to finish off the card.

The second is a card made with some leftover paper from Imaginisce.  I decided to make a sunburst and stamp the cute little sun stamp.

I stamped the sun on orange paper then cut it out.  I added some twine and a fun summer sentiment.

What do you do with your leftovers?

Happy Mother's Day

This is my favorite photo of me and my boys.  They really are amazing and I one lucky Mom!

I am also sharing today the last two gift card holders I created for Mother's Day week on the Epiphany Crafts blog.

The first is a matchbox cut file I got at the Silhouette Store and used my Silhouette to cut it out.  I added a brad using the Epiphany Crafts Brad Settings Round 14.

I love this paper by Maggie Holmes so soft and pretty.  I added another clothespin to this gift card holder as the body of the butterfly.

The last one is a file die cut with my Silhouette.

I used the Maggie Holmes clips as the body of the butterfly for this one.

I adhered the sides together so I could put the gift card inside.  To finish it off I added a Epiphany Craft Charm Setting to the top.  They are so pretty!

Hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day!  Thanks for stopping by.
