Guest Blogger at The Pocket Source

This month I had the opportunity to share some of my work over at The Pocket Source as a guest Blogger.  I shared my Project 365 Album that I am doing this year using my Color Crush Planner.

This is my layout for February.  I added the vellum included when you get the planner for this month.

I used the day to day memory keeping insert to mark down what each photo of the day was.

I made this cute clip with my Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Heart 25.

On the back side I added my calendar shot for February, some journalling about the month and some of the beautiful flowers from the Maggie Holmes collection.

I am still loving using this as a mini and have several more on pre-order to make other mini albums.

Easter Treats

One of my favorite things to make are little treat bags for my son's class.  I found this super cute and easy cut file on the Silhouette Store and knew it would make great little treat boxes.

I cut the file from Dear Lizzy Serendipity patterned paper and put them together.

No bunny is complete without a cute little bunny tail.  I used the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Round 14 and bubble caps to make them.

 Happy Easter.

Friends

I love the look of the hand cut titles from patterned paper I have been seeing on Pinterest and wanted to give it a go.  My friend and I finally made it out for a birthday dinner and snapped this Usie.

I challenged myself to use a bright cardstock for my background which is something I don't do very often. I cut the title from the Dear Lizzy Serendipty 6x6 paper pad.

To finish it off I added a few layers of patterned paper, washi tape and embellishments.

Have you tried this new trend yet?

Quotes

I am always pinning inspirational quotes on Pinterest and decided to make a little mini filled with some of my favourites.

I cut some 6x6 patterned paper to 4x6 and instead of binding it together I used a cute paper clip to keep the pages together

I used the fun Dear Lizzy Serendipity collection to make this.

I printed out some of my favorite quotes on 3x5 card stock and attached them to the paper with some fun washi tape.

What's your favourite quote?

Dance Mom Planner Page

I really wanted to get organized this year - what a perfect time for all these beautiful planners to be popular!  I loved the inserts that came with my Webster's Pages Color Crush Planner but I really wanted to have some very specific pages for my son's dance and couldn't find any that worked...so I ended up making some myself.

If you have a child or know a child that is in competitive dance you will know how all time consuming it can be, between classes, extra practices, recitals, on stage rehearsals, competitions, parades, and more recitals it seems like we live and breathe dance around here.  I wanted to keep track of all the information in my planner so it was handy all the time.

I created some Dance Mom pages that fit inside my Color Crush Planner and printed them out on thicker cardstock so I could add photos to them.  This is the first page I created and I will have one of these for each of the classes he is in (this year it's 5).

It has space for the class information like date and time, instructor and music/name.  Then I created a space to list all the competitions he will have for each class.  The Company (or competitive) classes have to compete a minimum of three times but usually four times each).

I also wanted a space where I could add details of his costume and a photo of him dressed in each costume as a guide so when we pack up for recitals or competitions we have a reference point of what he is supposed to look like.  This costume is so awesome he loves the diamond sweats and plaid shirt and I love that he can wear it after dance is done for the year!

If you would like to have these pages to use in your planner please email me with your address and I will send you a PDF you can print out and use for free!

I am also working on several other pages that relate more to dance and soccer and other pages that will help me towards my goal of being organized.  If you have any suggestions or have any ideas please drop me an email.

Planner Pages

I am having so much fun decorating my planner - I thought I would share one of my March planner pages. I used some Washi Tape along the bottom and some Dear Lizzy puffy stickers for embellishments

For the top I cut out some of the cut apart sheet and used a Maggie Holmes bobby pin clip as a page marker.

I love that this is something I can do on the go or in front of the TV.  I just use the Craft folio and take some cute supplies along with me.

I also wanted to share how I am doing my monthly page.  I am trying to keep it pretty simple and just write in important information and dates.

I also shared this photo on Instagram it's my really messy desk lol.

You & Me

My son and I were born on the same day, we both love Unicorns and cute things and have curly hair.  We have a lot more than that in common too!

He is always making me laugh and is an entertainer at heart!

I used the Dear Lizzy Serendipity collection to create this layout.  We take a selfie together every year on our birthday - it will be fun to scrapbook those all one one page.

I layered the tags from the cut apart sheet down the side of the photo and added the fun xo puffy stickers and some matching ink splatters.

This was such a fun page to make.

Scrapbook Nerd March Tutorial - Gift Card Holders

I am up on the Scrapbook Nerd Blog today with my March Tutorial - Gift Card Holders.  These are so simple to make and so cute!  First up you will need a 6x6 paper pad (I am using Dear Lizzy Serendipity), a bone folder and some embellishments.  That's it!

Take a 6x6 piece of patterned paper and fist score in half at 3".

Rotate the paper and score again at 4".

Fold the paper up along the 4" score line.

Then fold in half along the 3" score line and voilĆ  a little gift card holder.  I use double sided thin tape to secure the edges closed.

Tear off the paper strips at the top of the 6x6 paper pad and attach them along the bottom of the front.

Then add a cute saying from the cut apart sheet.  I also added some fun Washi tape to my gift card holders.

Add an embellishment to finish it off and a gift card to the inside.

If I am going to give a gift card as a present I like to personalize it with a cute gift card holder like these.  I always try and have a few on hand.

To add more fun to some of the cards I added glossy accents and glitter like on these cute doughnuts.

May Arts + Epiphany Crafts = Fun

This week Epiphany Crafts is teaming up with May Arts for a fun week of ribbon inspiration.

I had two ideas in mind when I got the bag full of beautiful ribbon and decided to make both.  The first project is these pretty ribbon bracelets using the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Round 14, the coordinating bubble cap and the Round 14 silver Charm Settings.

I took some of the beautiful ribbon and measured it to my wrist then slipped a jump ring on the charm and threaded it onto the ribbon.  I added some pretty patterned paper from Crate Paper to the charms. I love how pretty they turned out and the mint green is one of my favorite colors!

My second project is these cute planner clips for my Color Crush Planner.  I love prettying up my planner and these paper clips are a perfect way to add some fun to your planners.

I added some pretty May Arts ribbon and then topped them off with some Epiphany Crafts charms.

Head on over to the Epiphany Crafts Blog to see more fun projects using May Arts this week.
