New Key Chain

I love making personalized key chains with my Epiphany Crafts tools.  I have made them for friends, family, coaches - everyone except me lol.

I decided to make one for myself so I printed out a smaller photo of my family and added it into a charm with the Round 25 tool.

I also found the perfect sticker and made a tassel from embroidery floss.

I love it and can't wait to add it to my key chain.

Thanks for stopping by.

Our Adventure

When we were in Whistler we had no idea April Wine was playing a concert there but as we passed through the village we had to stop and listen to a few songs.

I love hanging out with Jeannine when we go to Whistler she is so much fun.

I used the strips off the 6x6 paper pad and the cute puffy stickers to make the bottom half of this - I love using everything I can sometimes even the packaging when I create.

Rainbows and Unicorns

I usually make something for my son's classmates/dance mates at the end of they year. His dance friends are always doing the Unicorn in photos - it all started last year when my son made up a unicorn dance move and now they all pose like unicorns its so fun lol.  Here's a photo of some of them:

I had a bunch of charms from Epiphany Crafts so I made a charm that says "Always be yourself. Unless you can be a unicorn then always be a unicorn."

Then I had to think of something to attach the charm to and my son said something with rainbows since unicorns and rainbows just go together.  I had made some fun tassels last month and thought some rainbow tassels would be perfect.

If I had thought it through, that I would have to make about 24 of these I might have decided on something different but since I had all ready started I knew I had to finish them lol.

I really love how they turned out and can't wait to give it to the girls.

Inspiration Friday - Episide 1

Joy Atkinson and I are teaming up to bring you some fun and inspirational videos.  On the third Friday of every month we will be picking something that inspires us and using it as a starting point to get crafty.  For our first episode we used our favourite craft company as our inspiration. You can watch my first video here:

One of my all time favourite companies is Crate Paper, their collections are always amazing, trendy and fun and full of patterns and embellishments.  I almost always buy everything from all their collections.  For my first Inspiration Friday video I am using the new poolside collection.

Here is the completed layout, I used some of my all time favourite embellishments, chipboard frames, I absolutely adore them and use them in a lot of projects.

I also loved the Mason Jar pockets in this collection, so sweet.

The gold sequins are so cool, I love the gold touch it adds to this layout.

Next head on over to Joy's channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCapSnOgBvIXFBT26JYi9LxQ and see how she got inspired by her favorite crafty company.

I hope you enjoy our first Inspiration Friday. To celebrate I am having a give-away on my YouTube channel so don't forget to subscribe, like and comment to be eligible to win.

Disney Love

Last month I talked about our first trip to Disney, this post I am going to be talking about our second trip which really wasn't that long after, February 2004. We had so much fun we new we wanted to go back right away and we decided to take my Mom.

One of my favorite memories from that trip was Linden running away from all the Princesses it was so funny he would literally turn and book it whenever he saw one even though they thought he was so cute and wanted to hug him. I managed to get one of them on camera before chasing after him.

My scrapbooking styles has definitely changed over the years in 2004 I did a lot of multi photo layouts and used my computer for my journalling. It was really nice having my Mom on this trip to help out with the boys. Luckily this time our film camera had no problems and we had some great photos when we got back. In the journalling I list our favorites, for my husband it was the parade, for me it was seeing the joy on every one's faces, my Mom loved the castle, Rhys loved the Astro Blasters ride and Linden loved the carousel and the gigantic lollipop his brother got.

I remember these early years at Disneyland fondly. The kids really wanted to meet all the characters and get their autographs. It really was a magical vacation.  They loved the parade and seeing all the characters singing and dancing. In fact I think this is where Linden's love of music, singing and dancing all started.

I have also realized looking back that I really haven't scraped a lot of my Disneyland photos. I have taken probably tens of thousands over the last 12 years and only a few have made it on to layouts and in mini albums. It's something I really want to remedy this year.

Sweet 16?

I don't know who came up with the expression sweet sixteen but I am not sure it applies here lol.

My son's favorite thing is eating out.  What teenage boy doesn't like food?  So we took him out for dinner for his birthday.

I love this paper even though its pretty busy so I used the cork to make sure the photo didn't get lost. I also added some cork hearts.

I can't believe I am the mom of a 16 year old. How did time go so fast?
