365 - Week 8
I am really happy I have made it to week 8 - it's been hard on a few days but overall I think it's cool to be able to look back and see what our life was like over this year.
February 19 - We were in Whistler for the weekend and it was gorgeous. The sun was shining, there was lots of new snow from the past week and it wasn't too cold.
February 20 - We walked around the village and took in some of the Olympic sites that were still there - like these rings. Of course Linden had everyone laughing while he posed.
February 21 - I got some flowers from my friends Tony and Joanne - totally brightened my day :)
February 22 - Linden is home sick - there is a bad stomach/cough/cold virus going around right now and Linden is one of many that have it.
February 23 - Rhys preparing for the Student Led Parent/Teacher Interviews tomorrow.
February 24 - It's nice to see what the kids are working on at school as we don't see much coming home :)
February 25 - The elusive Blue Heron. I have been trying to get a photo of him for weeks but he always flies away.
Well here's to another great week :)

Inspiration Thursday
For my inspiration this Thursday let's try a no photo layout. This one was tough for me because when I scrapbook I start with the photo and build my layout around it.
The February kit for Scrapbook Star had a sheet of labels included so I wanted to make a layout with them and came up with Top 10 Memories of 2010.
I cut out 10 pieces of patterned paper and rounded the corners then added a label to each square and for fun added some buttons and flowers.
I would love to see your take on a no photo layout!

365 - Week 7
Here's week 7 in pictures!
February 12 - We had Linden's birthday party at the theatre - we saw Gnomeo and Juliet which was really cute!
February 13 - Linden got Silly String for his birthday and wanted to pay with it.
February 14 - Linden picked this out for me - why?? I have no idea LOL.
February 15 - This is my desk at work. It's been a long time since I had my very own desk :)
February 16 - My husband found this mini disco ball and it's been hanging on my rear view mirror since. Linden and I were trying to get his face in the reflection but no luck.
February 17 - Had a big mailout to do at work and bought some new stamps. They have rabbits on them - I wasn't sure what that has to do with Canada but they were pretty cute.
February 18 - We went to Whistler for the weekend. Our hotel was right on the mountain - this was the view from the pool area.

Sylish Blogger Award
I have been nominated by Janice Kamide for the Stylish Blogger Award!! How Cool is that!
I have been blogging for a few years now and I love connecting with people through my blog. Here are seven random things about me:
1) I love Coke - I drink at least one can of Coke a day. In the summer I love to drink Coke Slurpees - I couldn't imagine a day without it.
2) I love making mini albums. They are so fun and it's great being able to finish one and see the end result. For most of them I use my Bind-It-All which is my favorite tool.
3) I hate exercising and will do anything I can not to do it - I wish I could find a fun way to get in shape!
4) I have the greatest friends in the world. I couldn't imagine my life without them. It would certainly be alot more boring!
5) I miss working at Clipper Street and all the wonderful people I worked with and met through that job. Shout out to my Clipper Chicks and Cory :)
6) My 3 favorite things in the world are spending time with my family and friends, scrapbooking and Travelling.
7) I am not a good house wife - I don't like cleaning the toilet, vacuuming and doing laundry so I put it off for as long as I possibly can!
As part of this award I have to nominate 6 other bloggers. Here are some of my favorite blogs.
1) I worked with Leslie Langdon on the Scrapbook Star Design Team a while ago and fell in love with her work. She rocks making handmade flowers!
2) I met Tara Orr when I was working at Clipper Street and she is so talented. Her stlye is soooo different from mine but her work is so incredible!
3)I work with Glenda over on the Scrapbook Star Design Team and her Misting, her layouts and her ATC's never cease to amaze me.
4) One of my fellow OZZ'ers Jennifer Priest has a really cool Etsy shop and her blog is full of inspiration.
5) Tina makes amazing cards - the detail is incredible.
6) Victoria Lau is like me an Everyday Scrapper and I love her layouts!
To the nominees, let's keep the love going by:
1.Writing seven things about yourself.
2.Presenting the award to six bloggers.
3.Contacting those people.
4.Creating a link back to the person who did this for you.
Thanks again for the honour Janice!

It's the 15th today and time for the Scrapbook Star's Design Team Challenges.
The February kit was awesome - my challenge is to create handmade embellishments.
Here's my layout. For my handmade embellishments I created the lanterns from cardstock and label stickers to look like the ones in the photos.
Hope you can stop by and play along.

365 - Week 5
Wow made it through another week :)
January 29, 2011 I was in CHA for the first time and I was so excited!!
January 30, 2011 While I was away Mike took the boys to Nanaimo to see his family. They had a great time and discovered a water fall.
January 31, 2011 There was so much eye candy at CHA, I especially loved how all the buttons were displayed. Here's one.
February 1, 2011 I got to meet some famous people including Kelly Purkey.
February 2, 2011 While it's snowing and storming in most of the country here the Crocuses are coming out.
February 3, 2011 I know McDonalds is bad for you but it is so darn good. I love McDonalds Coke and Fries.
February 4, 2011 Linden and Hannah (and Buttons) on a scavenger hunt. It was such a beautiful day.
Thanks for stopping by.

We Scrap Online Crop
Head on over to We Scrap for the "Love Songs" online crop. One of my challenges is to make a card for your sweeties. The cards I made are using the Echo Park Be Mine Collection.
The first card I made the heart using strips of all the patterned paper and shaping it into a heart.
For the second card I added some crepe paper flowers for some fun.
So head on over and join in all the fun challenges from the ITeam.
Thanks for stopping by!
