Merry and Bright

I love the new Holly Jolly Christmas paper line by Echo Park Paper Co.  The colors are so pretty and the patterns are amazing.  I knew as soon as I saw it what I wanted to make with it.

I started with this old box that I had sitting around just waiting to be used.  I love keeping old packaging to re purpose into something fun!

the first thing I needed to do was cover the front so I measured and cut a piece of brown cardstock then a piece of Snowy Sidewalks patterned paper and carefully cutting out the window in the front.

Then to create the scene inside the box I cut out the snowman from the Journaling Cards paper and some fun snowflakes from the other side of the Snowy Sidewalks paper.

Then I added some hills hand cut from cardstock and used pop dots to make the scene have some dimension. I also added some twine around the window of the box to give it a more finished look.

To complete the box I added the Merry and Bright sentiment and some presents both from the Journaling Tags sheet. I also added some more twine as a bow around the ribbon.

I had so much fun creating this little shadow box and I know I will create many more cute projects with this line.

Great pics of step by step. I've not thought to do this with packaging. Lovely.
