Back to School - Back Pack Tags

I can't believe today the kids go back to school, the summer sure went by fast!

Every year I make my son some fun backpack tags for his new backpack.  These were super easy to make and he loved them so much he asked me to make some for his friend.

First I used some old packaging and my son picked out a journaling card he liked, I sprayed some wooden stars with color to match and added them and sealed it with washi tape.

For the charms I cut out some coordinating paper and added an L (my son's initial) and then a 5 (he is going into grade 5 this year).  I added them to some key chains and a binder ring and attached them to his backpack.

For his friends I used girly colors and sparkle.  I created the same type of pocket using some fun girl journaling cards and added sequins.

For the charms I found a cute unicorn and an S and added some shimmer before turning them into charms.

Hopefully this makes going back to school a little more fun for them.

Thanks for stopping by.

Those are so cool! :) Could you let me know where you got the charms? I would love to make these for my friends as a purse dangle or from a bag for them!
