This week is another Inspiration Friday with Joy. This month we are taking our inspiration from Ashley Horton a fellow scrapbooker and owner of The Cut Shoppe on Etsy.

Welcome to another instalment of Inspiration Friday. Today Joy and I are taking our inspiration from quotes. I decided to make a decor piece for my craft room and wanted to use the fun On Trend 2 collection from My Minds Eye which is full of my favourite things. My favourite colours, flamingos, pineapples, cactus, flowers and gold.
First I scoured Pinterest and found these fun quotes about flamingos:
I love this I might have to do a layout or Midori page and use it lol.

I used my American Crafts Clipboard as the backdrop and created this fun piece to hang up.

This week Joy and I are taking our inspiration from a sketch. I don't usually work with sketches so this was a little out of the comfort zone for me but I actually found that it made the process a lot quicker and because of my limited time these days I might need to use them more. We used this fun sketch from Scrapfriends.com I found online.
I wanted to use this photo from the past month from my son's first competition, they did amazing and two routines made it to the top 10 overall for the competition which is awesome.
I have heard the term "Squad Goals" quite a bit on-line and thought it would be the perfect title for this layout. I used the Finders Keepers collection from Amy Tangerine I love the colors.
I followed the sketch pretty much bank on and added some black ink and rub ons.

I finally got another layout done for my Friday Inspiration video with Joy. We were using Jill Sprott as our inspiration. I can't believe what I had to go through to get this video done this month, seriouslt frustrating. At least I got it done.
This layout is a photo from Huntingdon Beach California with my son Linden. He still likes getting his photo taken so I take advantage when I can. We went for Lunch at Ruby's on the pier. It was a fun day at the beach.

Fall is so full of wonderful colours and textures I decided to make my own mood board.

Today I thought I would share with you some Summer layouts I made over the summer with the Crate Paper Poolside collection. I love the colors and patterns in this collection especially the floral paper.

This layout was so fun to make I thought the polka dot paper kind of looked like the big beach ball in the photo.
I will try and share more of my summer projects over the next few weeks before fall officially starts!

One of my all time favourite companies is Crate Paper, their collections are always amazing, trendy and fun and full of patterns and embellishments. I almost always buy everything from all their collections. For my first Inspiration Friday video I am using the new poolside collection.
Here is the completed layout, I used some of my all time favourite embellishments, chipboard frames, I absolutely adore them and use them in a lot of projects.
I also loved the Mason Jar pockets in this collection, so sweet.
The gold sequins are so cool, I love the gold touch it adds to this layout.
