Happy Thanksgiving

Here in Canada it is Thanksgiving weekend and I wanted to make some decorations for our table. My husband picked up some cute pumpkins from Target while he was in the US and I used some Crate Paper patterned paper to make some fall leaves.

I hand cut come leaves from the patterned paper and added a few to the top of each pumpkin.

I love the way they look and they looked even better on my table.

Friday Inspiration with Joy

This week is another Inspiration Friday with Joy. This month we are taking our inspiration from Ashley Horton a fellow scrapbooker and owner of The Cut Shoppe on Etsy.

I decided to use the free Summer cut file from Scrapbook Nerd for my layout. You can see how it came together on my channel here:

I am using the lovely Maggie Holmes Bloom collection for this layout and I love it.

Planner Love

I am still loving the Planner craze and I have many planners lol. They are all so beautiful I have a hard time saying no to them!

I have one planner I keep strictly to keep track of my son's dance/theater stuff which trust me is a lot.

I have been using my scrapbook stuff for this planner. The Crate Paper Poolside collection is perfect with my Teal Color Crush Planner.

Minnie Mouse Love

I am so glad we had National Scrapbooking day a few weeks ago, it gave me a chance to actually do some scrapbooking and layouts just for fun.

I love this Selfie my hubby took with Minnie when we went to Disneyland and I had to scrap it.

I made the Minnie Mouse ears with some wooden hoops from the Crate Paper Craft Market collection, I love these and I have used them before to make Mickey Mouse ears.

The heart is a die cut I filled with torn patterned paper.

Midori Madness - Dance Edition

This Midori Madness episode is all about dance. My youngest is in company/competitive dance (as seen on Dance Moms lol) and I wanted to make a Midori for all his competitions and just a place to hold all the amazing recitals and events that they do, These kids are like a little family and we both love hanging out with them and they push each other to be better.

You can see the video on my channel here -

I am using this super cute fabric Midori I bought from Love Neen on Etsy her Midori's are so beautiful and she also makes the cutest little key chains - I must get the Unicorn. The tassel is from Haute Pink Fluff on etsy and she make the most amazing tassels in all colors and sizes.

I am using this booklet I made with the Crate Paper Poolside collection for his Duo. This was the fist time Linden has been asked to compete with a Duo and he was very excited. The song is Stud and A Babe and it is perfect for him. He gets to play a nerd who turns into a stud who decides being a nerd is better.  Love it!

Lots of practicing and getting together a costumes and they were ready for their first performance at a retirement home.  They were a big hit and were treated to ice cream after the show,

They had a company recital for all the Solos/Duos and Trios competing this year and seeing them in full costume on stage was awesome. They killed it.

They had their first compeition and came first place in their division. So proud.

Come back next week and I will show you book two - the Pirate edition.

Midori Catch Up

I posted a quick video on my channel today - a quick catch up on my Midori's. In my previous post I showed the completed Wizard of Oz Midori and I am almost done the Midori for my son's Into the Woods show. I am using a Midori from Love Neen on Etsy and I added a charm with my Epiphany Crafts Round Tool. I really love the black plus sign Midori I should have gotten two!

I did the same process with this book but it ended up only being one book as it was less shows and rehearsals than Wizard of Oz was. Linden auditioned in September 2015 and was his usual goofy self.

I won't go through too much detail with the photos or this post will be long! The rehearslas were once a week and were local so no long driving which was nice.

I volunteered to plan the Cast Party at the end of the show which was so much fun.

After Wizard of Oz ended it was time to focus on Into the Woods and after many rehearsals we finally got to tech week at Metro Theatre in Vancouver. It was a super cool location.

Tony did an amazing job with the sets, the trees moved around the stage - so cool!

I also offered to do the cast wall and made big trees out of black paper and added the photos to it.

Watching rehearsals was so much fun, I snuck as many photos as I could.

Tony was the only adult in the cast he played the wolf and was amazing.

When I saw Linden in his Rapunzel Prince costume I loved it. Finally it was show time, Linden was in 4 shows total over three days and nailed it every time.

The kids had a blast at the cast party.

Now it's all over another bitter-sweet moment for me.

Here is the link for the video on my YouTube channel please stop by and let me know what you think.

Hello Sun N Fun

I finally got another layout done for my Friday Inspiration video with Joy. We were using Jill Sprott as our inspiration. I can't believe what I had to go through to get this video done this month, seriouslt frustrating. At least I got it done.

This layout is a photo from Huntingdon Beach California with my son Linden. He still likes getting his photo taken so I take advantage when I can. We went for Lunch at Ruby's on the pier. It was a fun day at the beach.

Here is the video to go along with the layout - sorry for the bad quality!

Splash Mountain

We had so much fun at Disneyland - I couldn't wait to scrap some photos when I got back but then I had one of those weeks. You know the one where nothing and I mean nothing goes right lol. My son came home with a bug and passed it on to me so I was really sick and then I wanted to film the layout I was making for my YouTube Channel and nothing was working, my computer wouldn't recognize the recorded files from my Iphone any more and I could not get any computer to do it, it was working fine until this week. So I ended up giving up and decided to re record the whole video with another layout. So here is the layout that got filmed but didn't make it to YouTube lol.

Splash Mountain is one of my son's favorite rides and we usually ride it a lot - I love that they try and make poses now when they know the photos is going to be taken. This trip we went with some friends which was really fun too!

I really hope to get more photos of Disneyland scrapped than I usually do!

Love this kid

I used up my left over Hello Love collection from Crate Paper to make this layout about my oldest son. He helped my husband at Gottacon last year and it was so fun to watch him.

I added some fun watercolor and ink splatters to complete the layout. I am so proud of this kid.

Happy Valentine's Day

Here is a fun little project I made for my sweetie. I used the Crate Paper wood veneer frames to make a fun shaker wall hanging for him.

I also used the sequins and journaling tag from the Crate Paper Hello Love collection.

It was so easy to turn these into a shaker to see how I did watch the video below.

Layered Tags

I love making layered tags, they are so fun to make and can be used for lots of different projects like a scrapbook layout or a card.

I used the Crate Paper Hello Love collection and layered die cuts and the cute gold hearts to make these.
